The Company commenced operations on March 10, 2004. On October 28, 2004 the Company completed its initial public offering and on October 29, 2004 commenced trading of its common shares on the TSX Venture Exchange ("TSXV") under the symbol "MAW". At the end of March, 2005 the Company also listed its common shares for trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the trading symbol "MRY". In 2008 the company migrated to the main TSX board.

Mawson is a natural resources company which has been continually engaged in the acquisition and exploration of precious and energy mineral properties since its incorporation in 2004.

The Company current focus is exploring for gold and uranium in Finland and gold and copper in the Cordillera of Peru. Mawson is also a leading Scandinavian uranium exploration company, with advanced projects in Sweden and Finland.

As the European Union moves to reduce its reliance on carbon-based energy sources and continues to debate energy security, Mawson is well positioned to provide Europe with the option to fuel its future. Areva NC of France holds 10% of the Company and provides Mawson with an active technical partner.

The corporate objectives are to build a mining/energy house to deliver value to its Shareholders through the rapid discovery, acquisition and development of mineral and energy deposits.

The team has made numerous discoveries and has demonstrated success at generating high merit projects during the last 10 years in Sweden, Peru and Australia suggesting the team will continue to deliver growth to Mawson via acquisition and discovery.
