Finnish Uranium Projects
The Nuottijärvi project is one of Finland's largest known uranium deposits with an historical resource of 2.9 million tonnes at 0.044% U3O8 (2.9 million pounds of U3O8). The mineralized body is 40 metres in thick, extends from surface to a vertical depth of 80 metres, trends over a strike length of more than 400 metres and remains open along strike and at depth.
At Saramäki, uranium is hosted within an apatite bearing breccia along a 4,000 metre long and up to 200 metre wide zone, and is similar in style to uranium mineralization Nuottijärvi. Better intersections include 21.9 metres @ 0.04 % U3O8 from 82 metres and 5.6 metres @ 0.07 % U3O8 from 62 metres.
